Invited Speaker---Prof. Chen Wenwei

Biography: Chen Wenwei is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the National University of Defense Technology. He served as Deputy Director of the Machine Learning Specialized Committee, China Association for Artificial Intelligence, served as Vice President of National Research Association of Computer Continuing Education. His major research interest includes Artificial Intelligence, Decision Support System, Machine Learning, etc. He has published several books, “Knowledge engineering and Knowledge management”, ”Decision support system and its development”, ”Intelligential Decision technology”, ”Data Mining technology”, etc. He has published more than 90 articles in the "Journal of Computers", "Journal of Intelligent Systems" and other kernel journals. In his teaching career, he has been guiding more than 70 PhD candidates and graduate students to obtain degrees. He has taught number of classes and won Teaching Excellence Awards and Outstanding Graduate Mentor Awards more than 10 times. He has been awarded the title of senior graduate supervisor of National University of Defense Technology in 2015.

Speech Title: A New Formula and New Constants Hidden after the Euler’s Formula and the Euler’s Constant
Abstract: Professor Chen Wenwei propose a new formula Π=1/2e^Θ, in which the new constant Θ is a real number. The new formula is a perfect supplement the Euler’s formula e^Πi=-1.These two formulas together reveal the completely relationship between Π and e. Constant Θ=1+γ+ 2μ, γ is the Euler’s constant, μ is a new constant, namely . We call μ and Θ new constants hidden after the Euler’s constant γ.
