Visa Application

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, as of July 2017, Japan has taken measures concerning the Visa Exemption Arrangements with 68 countries and regions as below:

Asia: Brunei (15 days), Indonesia, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand (15 days), Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan
Europe: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
North America: Canada, United States
Latin America and the Caribbean: Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Surinam, Uruguay
Oceania: Australia, New Zealand
Middle East: Israel, Turkey, United Arab Emirates
Africa: Lesotho, Mauritius, Tunisia

*The period of stay granted at the time of the landing permission will be "15 days" for Brunei, Indonesia, and Thailand, and "30 days" for United Arab Emirates and "90 days" for other countries and regions.

For those countries that are not included in the list, a VISA is required from the local Embassy of Japan. Before you applied the Visa, please read carefully the Japanese Visa Guide provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
